Transition Services
Whether a student decides to continue on with post-secondary education, or is thinking of joining the workforce right out of high school, our Transition Service typically begins when a child reaches 14-16 years of age. Together with the student and his/her parent(s), we aim to coordinate the steps that will lead to continued success in the future. First, we will ask questions, such as what the student hopes to achieve? And then discuss with the parent and student the possible options that best suit the student.
Along with discussing a student's Individualized Education Plan (if the student has one), FLT considers other specific questions to ensure that the student's goals are met. Some of these questions include:
